come out of pocket? do you mean how much i spent? I spent $4000 for everything. I got the non-intercooled kit with a t-28 and RRM Headers.

lol if you want 300 hp, you better look into spending a lot of money, meaning every bolt-on, a turbo kit with a turbo that can push 300 hp, and a great tune. Or do your internal so you can up the psi. 300 is tough for a lancer, but (as it has been proven) it is do-able.

+1

when i did a base dyno run a couple of months ago, i had 175ish whp, that is @ 7psi with the stock RRM tune & stock exhaust still, within the next month i will be getting it dynotuned, i have recently installed exhaust, lightweight flywheel & forged iternals, track opens in two weeks so well see how it does before the tune on the 1/4

Silens, don't hate on the people who get their stuff professionally installed. I just trust RRM so well and I know everything will come out correct. I just feel a lot more comfortable letting them handle my turbo installation. It's great that you can do it yourself with no problems, just don't hate on us for paying for installation.

Well here's the thing with the shops charging that much. They have to spend the time putting it in for you making adjustments, tuning, checking and double checking their work so the buyer doesnt have any issues after the car leaves. Time and risk is what they are billing you for - risk being that Im sure if RRM misses something in the install or slightly screw up on a mistune then they will have to fix/replace/retune whatever.

Hey silens, since you did forged internals, are you planning on turning the boost up some when you go to get it tuned? That could push that dyno number up pretty high.

i had the RRM kit when it first came out was a great kit but got hungry for more power and went extreme had a custom kit fabricated from ADFX racing went with a T3/T4 .60 and built the motor myself with a buddy....and poof the first 300+ WHP and WTQ lancer ever thanks to AMS for a great tune!!

when the funds are right expect more to come i am continuing my project just got backed up with a 240sx and a GSR project

Don't forget, still the only recorded Lancer over 300 hp correct? I know RRM is working on something big, but as of now, still no one has hit that point. I mean technically, RRM clocked in at like 298, but still. You hold that mark, and plus, you are one of the few to do something big with a lancer and not have it wrecked/stolen/blown up/all of the above right after it was finished.
