Not the best pic, and ignore the tires, they're too big.

you should try that first and tell me the result
i made a thread cause mainly everyone upgraded to 17s
from my past experience, 17s are too heavy on base lancer
so i am considering on going with 16s

Hmmmm.... 16's were a stylistic choice for me, I didn't want huge wheels, and I didn't want those dinky 14's it came with(I'm an ES). My only advice is make sure you get 45 sidewall tires, mine are 55 and rub like mad, not to mention make my car ride noticably higher. Also since there are no Autox events near Springfield MO, I can only really drag race with it, and 14's probably wouldn't help much there.

16's are the only way to go, bigger and better looking that factory but not to big or heavy for our not so powerful cars.
