i was looking for a body kit for my lancer , but i didnt find what iam looking for

so i want some help with my lancer , i wana make it faster and i wana make the sound is beter ........

search through the lancer 08+ forums. There are endless options available. The most obvious being buying evo body parts, but like I say, there are many ways you can go. Check it out.

 

The amount of money you spend to make your Lancer look like an Evo may not be worth it. I would just save up the money and buy the real deal.

 

+1 on saving for an evo. By the time you get the soiler, front end, hood, brakes etc. you would have to be getting close to a base gsr.

 

lol, what other people said. If not then u gotta get fender, hood, bumper, back bumper, wing, (don't know about side skirts, guess u can get the option aero kit for evo.) other then that.. i have no idea, pretty sure i missed something.

 

You can try accolade for a conversion kit to make your lancer look more like an evo X. perfomance wise I would say try the 08 forums. Road race motorsports has some good applications for your car. Just try to snoop around the forums and you'll find what you're looking for.

 

put evo badges on. it would be identical when boths cars are compared.

 

If you mean make a replica... you also need new seats, dash, gauges, etc as well as all the body parts (hood, front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, wing).

A good body kit is over a grand. Unless you buy one of those chinese cheapo kits on ebay which may or may not work right


be cheaper to get a real evo..

 

just search the forums, dont let people with evo's tell you to get the real deal. for some people its not about the cost of the evo but the monthly cost of the evo vs. the monthly insurance premium. being 22, insurance for the evo would cost about 350+ a month which is fine i could afford that and an evo payment no problem, I just dont see the point on paying 200 more a month on insurance.

for me I got a 2009 gts for 20k out the door, paid 1k for recaros and 400 for OEM hood painted. So right now im at 21,400 (which is still MUCH less than a gsr) and I have one good looking lancer.

if he or she wants to make his/her car better looking by putting evo like kit on a base lancer , then so what...it better looking than stock and makes his lancer better appearence wise.. he/she knows it isnt a real evo.... heck i know my car isnt a real evo.. i really dont care.. if i want to put a evo wing, ill do it.. same goes with hood,bumpers, etc....
if he or she is happy with the end result then props to them

 

i am more proud to say i own a lancer...
i still do not understand why people on this forum fell the need to belittle other people for doing whatever they want with their car...

It's his car and his money to spend so really he doesn't have to listen to the people that discourage him not to make his car look like an evo. I feel like when people try to make there cars look like some other car that its not that much of a bad thing. People say that oh since your car will look like an evo when people race you, you'll make us look bad. I don't know about you guys but not all cars that do conversions race. Also I don't see why the evo guys have to look down on the lancers. I wonder if its the same kind of feelings towards Sti's to wrx's. It just sucks that just because somebody couldn't man up and pull the big $ to get an evo that he gets push around by guys that spent an extra thousands of dollars to get such a great car. Yes the evo is an awesome car, but seriously not everyone can straight out buy one. I myself have a regular lancer and yes my car does look sorta of like an evo. Do I race? no. Do I tell people my car is an evo? no. I do roll up to car meets though and see evo guys all the time and most of the time they tell me that my car looks sick and they appreciate that they have a fellow MITSU driver (not an evo poser) that's into cars compared to a poser evo. I just don't understand why people think just because he wants to do a conversion that he's supposedly going to start racing and give evos a bad name when probably his intent is just to make his car look like a dream car. It's funny how his positive attitude about changing looks on his car makes some evo guys go crazy. You guys swear like you guys are doing the good deed by passing on that the evo is better than the lancer which of course is a proven in some aspects which are obvious that every lancer and evo owner knows.

 

actually its not too expensive for me. Im 22 and make well over 60k pretty sure at 22 you didnt make that kind of money without selling **** on the streets.

with that being said at 22 insurance is high for an evo. like everyone says i dont pretend to have an evo in 3 years when my insurance rate comes out and i make about 72k a year I will definitely have an evo and have the money to put into it.

I also dont see how the time and money i took on my lancer is more than an evo??

lets see paid drivelinemotoring 1k for lancer seats that took a whole 5 minutes, seats came in, installation took about an 1 hour.

I paid driversimage 300 for the hood, took it to get painted and then i installed it. that took about 2-3 hours total time.

Total cost about $1500, time about 4 hours. I sit at 21500 total spent on car.

new 2008 evo x, cheapest in san antonio 29,500 + tt&l. Let see were still looking at a 8k+ difference... yeah so stfu and go drive your evo instead of posting in the LANCER forums. ****.


If you had the money then you would too. Some people have the time and money to do what they want with their car so let them.
