I was wondering if the carbon fiber roof I found on ebay for an evo 8 would fit my 05 lancer es? Are the roofs the same?

It will fit the lancer but you have to take major care of the thing...Carbonb fiber is great but needs some serious attention if you want it to last

Carbon fiber has a tendency to fade after time. As long as you wax it regularly, you will be fine...You just have to keep it really clean and protected so nothing happens to it (fading or discoloration)

oh ok I agree with that I have a CF roof. hood, trunk, and many other CF parts but yea. I take care of them by normal cleaning, I don't go out of my way, I just do my normal maintenance.

Isn't it if you get the cf roof you have to take off our roof and like weld the cf on or something. That always confused me.

no the original roof is riveted in you drill out the old rivets, take the aluminum off. Apply sealent place the CF where it's supposed to go and rivet the CF roof in, there is a bit more to it but it's not difficult.

Thats just the clear coat. I suggest getting it recleared once you get it. The company that makes them uses cheap clear to cut material costs down.

Use black vinyl for the roof. Saves you 900 bucks.
