How do you take off the grille's mitsu emblem?

Hey guys has anybody taken off the mitus star of the grille? How do you take it off without messing anyhting up? I need to know bc i am going to paint hte chrome black and the emblem red.

you can't take it off, it's part of the grill, just cover it with tape before you paint it.

i just painted the emlbem red a month ago and i taped it off and it didnt come out so good (the edges are a bit rough) , so i want to take it off and paint it seperately.

It does come off, I took mine off when I had my grill painted.
Heat it up and try using fishing line or dental floss to cut it off. Thats what I did, then used double sided tape to put it back on

get a mitsubishi sticker.. they have whole sheets on ebay.

hey gen thanks. i debadged my trunk that way, but didnt htink it would work for the front. oh and jerze, why would i want a mitsu sticker?

just place a red mitsu sticker emblem instead of painting it

not really sure but u can always trim. try painting it if u like me and like to experiment.

i agree with jerze just buy a piece of redvinyl then stick it to the emblem then cut the excess part of vinyl,i mean,i think it should work

I just taped it off and left it chrome. It turned out fine but if you already painted it you should try Laquer thinner not paint thinner, and that should take the paint off.
