So it's out with the old and in with the new.....I LOVED the lancer the entire time I had it but it was just getting old and I was tired of paying so much for a car that shouldn't have cost so much a month. So i went to Acura and got a GREAT deal on my new 2006 Black RSX, it's not a Type S :crap: but it will be a great, quick car down the road don't worry about that {thumbup} . Unlike my lancer, this car has a GREAT platform to start from and can make both great appearance and great power fairly easy. But anyways, on with the pics

Non type S?

oh well..i still like it! {thumbup}

I got a helluva deal on it and I couldn't get the Type S in my price range. The main reason for getting rid of the Lancer was to lower my payments and get a nicer car. I went down almost a $100 a month in payments and I think that in the end this car will be alot nicer than my lancer was.

well man no more photo wars hu, oh well keep postin man. RSX is the sex. espically black, nice choice, is it manual?

Oh yeah, it's a manual. I wouldn't have it any other way. And once I start to get some mods done to it I'll be back to post pics in here, even if it's not a Lancer, haha. The mods will probably move it to other cars but I'll try to post war with ya man, lol.

nice!! ... drastic change it color. i think its common for people with yellow cars. i know a couple of people who had yellow cars and when they got a new car it was completly different. for my next car i want a white one. probably a white evo or is350.... congrads man!! ...

im wondering that too. did u trade it in for the rsx? did the mods effect the value of the car? i want to trade my lancer also but dont want to get screwed over

Very dissapointed, but if your happy with it then good luck with the Acura... Im not sure what seperates it (engine wise) from the type s. I think the rsx has a k20a motor but not too sure. But yea, did you trade in the lancer? How much did you get, +++what imajin said.

i think u made a great choice i use to own a acura rsx type s before gettign my evo and had a lot fo fun and good times with that car, my girl now also drives the base rsx so i still drive it a lot, acura is a nice reliable car and good luck with it

Hey everyone. Yeah I traded in the Lancer. I got $6500 for my lancer with everything on it. I didn't have any of my stock parts and I would have done a part out but the guy I dealt with actually raised the value of the trade in with the parts on it. He said that the kbb on it was $5000 but he talked appraiser into giving me $6500 cause of the aftermarket parts.

The color change is what I wanted to do. I have an idea of what I want it to look like and it's going to be ALOT cleaner looking then the lancer. Very little CF, if any at all, will go on this car.

I'm still real new to the RSX stuff so I'm still trying to figure things out too so I'm not sure what the differences are in the Type S and base. I believe they both have the same K20 engine but besides that I'm not sure at all.

Thanks alot man...I have a question for you. Do you know if the lip kits for the 02-04 RSX fit the newer style??? I see the major difference was in the headlight and taillight area but I haven't found if the lip kits are different or not. Thanks in advance
