HIDS's

CATZ Hi/Low Aqua White HID system for the 9007

You know, installing hids in a lancer is so much fun *sarcasim*. Pulling the headlight housing was the most difficult part to do. I guess it is because I didnt realize there was a ball joint arm that snapped it in to place.

After finding thatout, it was a snap.

Also check the bulbs before breaking the seal on the packaging. Some dealers will not accept the return if the seal on the bulb packaging has been broken.

The lights were purple at first and it startled me. I didnt think that they would be that. Then they evened out to blue in about 3 mins and I felt releived. The light housing does cast a weird lightning strike shaped image on the sides of the road.

Other than that the install was simple and the result was good

BTW the camera was not on the right setting, it was on tungsten 2/ halogen setting instead of tungsten 1. I will post better pictures tonight.

just me, or dosent one look different than the other?

OZ_Rally Apr 10, 2003 03:04 PM

sorry about that. I left the porch light on and it made that weird yellowish color. I had a pic of them with the porch light off but I accidentley deleted it.

I will post a really good pic tonight.

Catz 6000K hi/low's right? I think that's the route I'm going.

That is correct. Instead of the light getting brighter like normal lights do. The bulb has a solenoid placed on the end and when the brights are activated the bulb changes position and the light is angled upward more. When parked 30 feet from a wall the light beems travel 1 foot upwards when the brights are activated.

Yes I paid $620 (s&H included) , but I still have brights on my vehicle. I was looking at the HID brand kit but decided against it when CATZ notified me that all the components are made in the same factory.

It was definately worht the $100 more to go with the CATZ w/hi-low beam.

I purchased the lights from Xtreme White
