a few DIY's

Hello everybody,
I was thinking of debadging my Lancer, I had removed one letter but the glue stayed on... peeling away at one corner i notived that there was no clearcoating done where the letters are... for thos of you who have debadged their cars, did you notice this too?? Is it noticable, or do you have to really look to see it?? secondly..my right headlight (bought blacked out depo's) aims a little high... can it be adjusted?? I attached a picture(IN ADVANCE... SORRY ITS BLURRY)... the end of the headlight with the arrow pointing to it points to the middle of the car...would one of these screws adjust the height of the beam??I know that from installing it.. screw # 2 is what holds the headlight in place and i think would direct the left/right orientation .... what about the other two screws?? thanks!!{thumbup} |
You must have got yours used with a re-spray on the trunk! The letters are stuck on at the factory after paint & clear... Sorry
Yes, those will adjust the lamp! Just couldn't tell you which one does what... |
3 is up-down ... forgot what 1 does

For the headlights, check the owners manual. It says how to adjust them, AFAIK.

That's the first thing i would have done but a) my car didnt come with one (bought it used) and b) the Depo lights i bought had NO,none,0 instructions of any kind. othewise i'd ask, because i know everybody will say search or read a manual   |
#1 - turning counterclockwise = aim up
#1 - turning clockwise = aim down #2 - turning counterclockwise = aim right (along the axxis diagnally between #1 and #3) #2 - turning clockwise = aim left(along #1 and #2 Axxis) #3 - turning counterclockwise = aims left #3 - turning clockwise = aim right When i adjusted mines i just used #1 and #2 you shouldn't have to touch #3. OH and be carefull when you turn the screws cuz they can reach a point where the reflector is pushed out too far and hits the black housing... Good luck! |
thanks!!! got them adjusted finally they actually look decent now!!
