Lancer and Evo's body...Possible conversion?
 

Friday i just got done doin a jetta and gti front end converison where we switch both frons to make the cars stand out more. Everything bolted right on since they have the same frame. I was wondering if it is posisble to take the entire lancer front end (fenders, bumper, hood, headlights) and switch it on to an evo and vice versa. Has anyone try this yet? I hear everyone say o u cant do it the fenders stick out further etc... but i think it might be possible. and if anyone in pa would wanna try i'm game to try it!!!

I'm sure it's doable since the chassis is identical, but unless someone with an evo wants to look like a Lancer (i.e. no flares, possible rubbing of wheels on the fender) it'd probably be pretty expensive...either that or find two wrecked Evos and go to town. :lol:

I don't doubt it's possible, but I think the cost would be prohibitive.

well if someone wants to do a straight up conversion thats wants to be in the stealth mode and all then it doesnt cost anything if u trade up front ends. if no one wants to try it, then i'm gonna have to go hunting in junk yards for evo 8 parts :) also if anyone does ever get a body kit and has the fb, hd, headlights, and fenders i'll buy em!!!
