Lowering my car temporarily... cheapest way

I just got my 17s in and the wheel gap is ugly..... i was planning on selling my car late this summer, so i was thinking i could buy something cheap and temporary like coilover sleeves from ebay, installation is not a problem because i have acess to a shop for free, will cheap coilovers work? or do i have to buy some springs... im not farmiliar with the installation of adjustable coilovers at all, can someone clarify it?

Well firstly, search, we have a suspension forum for a reason. Secondly, coilover sleeves are not real coilovers, they are just overglorified springs. If you don't care about ride quality, go nuts but eventually (ie. within 6 months) your stock shocks will die.

Just get springs. You're selling the car, so you clearly don't give a damn about the later effects. Throw on some S-techs and call it a day.

Moving to correct forum.
