Brake Caliper Paint
HAs anyone on here painted their brake calipers yet. I was thinking of doing it when I get mine, not sure to paint them blue or red what do you think. And where online is a place I can get a good kit from. thanks!

No one yet has posted this mod, but honestly...I'd only do black paint. Anything else is "almost" rice-like. Many auto part stores have caliper-paint kits, ex. Pepboys, AutZone, Advanced, etc etc.

Well, if you like that brand check Ebay out here... ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SALE-...spagenameZWDVW ). Free shipping...
There are other brands too, including Duplicolor, for cheaper as well!

If it's anything like most other small car brakes, it's really easy, just time consuming. Most auto stores have either brake spray paint or brake paint that I think you actually brush on. And colors don't really look ricey unless you make it a crazy bright color and then paint the drums. Any normal blue red, or black would look good. I did mine blue, a friend's red, and an ex's metallic color changing purple. They all came out good and didn't look ricey (because I only painted calipers). And it's caliper, not caliber lol. I'll fix it for you.

If you rcar is blue I recommend Red you should get a slight contrasting color and its Roter not router. I think this will be the first mod for my lancer although i dont even remember lookint at my calipers i guess sonce I have never noticed them if I paint them red I will notice. Does anyone who has done this know if there is a Mitsubishi word on the calipers. I hope so

I don't know if the 08s have anything on them, but the 02-06s don't. Yeah, don't get any paint on the rotor. I know with mine, after I unbolted the caliper and the brake line from the car, there was enough brakeline to pull the caliper away from the wheel well slightly (that way I didn't have to mess with break fluid. THen take out the pads and tape EVERYTHING off that should'nt get paint on it, then I just shut a couple towels in the hood so they hung over the fender and wheel well, then sand (since I didn't have degreaser, I just sanded it all off) and paint away. Just make sure you let it sit for a long time before touching it or you will get finger prints on it. If possible, let it sit over night after paint.
