New Springs - Question
What's everyone's opinions on lowering springs? I've never actually put money into a car or done work on one until I bought my Lancer, and just want to see what's out there before i jump in and make a decision. I was thinking about going with the RRM G.R.I.P. v2 springs.
I live in Minnesota, so i don't want my car absurdly low, but i think 1.5" would be a good amount. Let me know what you guys think

just saw the drop for the Eibach's, but as for search, i'm wondering what people's opinions on springs are. Yes, there are some from 09 and such, but there are more springs out now than when originally posted

it does look nice. Where are you located? I'm in Minnesota and we have pretty bad winters and it's my DD. I need something that's functional but provides a decent drop. I have heard that the RRM v2 are too low for those conditions.

im from texas, so in some areas we have some ****ty pot holes. and the rrm v2 drive and feel just like stock. so most likely if u dont hit any hard bumps were u drive daily, then you shouldn't have a big problem.
then again if u dont like them, u can just change them out and sell them to some needy lancer driver here on the forums lol

yeah that's true. I'd just hate to take the time of putting them on, then take them off because i don't like them so i'm trying to get a feel for it. there are very few lancers in my area so i can't really ask someone what they think

recommend you to use Eibach pro kits
front 1.2 rear 0.8 best setting
and it is a reliable brand
RRM stuff .. why they always make V2?
cuz all their V1 stuff have well known problems..

I'm using Eibcah... nothing wrong with it so far...^^
mine is Eibach Pro-Kit 1.2"F and 0.8"R
If you want similar spring rate as the stock:
- Tanabe NF210 1.1"F and 0.9"R
If you want more aggressive look:
- H&R Sport Spring Set 1.4"F & 1.3"R
- Eibach Pro-kit for sportback 1.2"F and 1.1"R (don't know if this will fit ^^")
- Eibach Sport-Kit 1.7"F and 1.2R
I'm more prefer a branded spring.... they are more costly... but come with longer warranty
I never tried RRM stuffs... so no commends on it.... but some people complain about the quality....

I got mine at REV (New Type) $420 installed....($264 + $110 + tax)... you can get them cheaper online.... but I found that getting from the shop is easier... and cheaper if you need someone to install that for you...so i called around for pricing... REV has the lowest price with installation...^^

If you are in Vancouver you can try these.
T1R S-Coil Lowering Springs. 1.2" drop all around. Spring rates front 2.91K and rear 3.65K. Though i'm not too confident in only a 1 year warranty.

but do you have confidence with them....?? considering $100 installation fee.... the spring is just $100...?? it's too good to be true....
If you wanna go for that... wait a while... I got 2 friends installed with the T1R..... wait 1 year to see their quality....
