The truth you need to hear about the lower half of your car...

I personally prefer 15s especially for small cars like the Lancer, i've seen a lot of sport compact cars in the Philippines this past summer and majority of them run 15s and dropped...looks GREAT considering the size and proper tire size and drop. Anything over 17s look GHETTO anyways.

I agree with Z Lancer man I was about to buy some 17's x 7's Now????????? But whats the deal with some of these off brand names like Drag,Raze ETC. Are They crap on rubber or What? Any advice?on Good 17's And Which would you buy first Headers (P) Or Rims for a visual upgrade.

I'd go with the rims. Probably wouldn't do much good for header alone without the intake/exhaust too? And any rim is probably fine, even the cheapies. The tires are probably more important than the rims anyway. Lightweight rim + sticky tire = badassness. I'm looking for gold 16s.

I'd go rims. Header won't do much. Rims are always going to look good, and if you're smart enough to buy some that perform well, they're going to improve the handling of your car by a lot.

I have searched, but have been unable to find the answer to my question. I drive a 2004 lancer OZ rally lowered on Eibach pro springs. My current tire and wheel size is 205/45/17. I will be going to a set of 16" rims in the spring, but am looking for a set of winter/snow tires for the 17" rims. I was wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to run a 205/50/17 tire with my current suspension setup?. I have checked the measurements and there is only .70 of an inch difference in my current tire size and the larger 50 series. I am sorry to ask such a basic question but the 50 series winter tires are much cheaper, and more readily available than 45 series. Thank you for any help you can send my way.

The 50 series tire you're talking about would make a noticeable difference with your speedometer/odometer. As for rubbing, I couldn't tell you, but I'm sure if it doesn't rub, it would be close.

I want to buy some rims for my car and i cant decide how wide i should go. Do you think that i can get away with 16x8 without a lot of rubbing issues
PS i have an 03 oz with megan coilovers

This is a fantastic thread but what sort of problems would I encounter with an adjustable ride height and a 16x8 rim with +20 offset? I'm still deciding what I should be doing in terms of my setup on occasion I need to turn my wheels would spacers help? In all seriousness I need help I don't know as much about suspension as I do about engine management any help would be greatly appreciated

+20 will put the wheel way outside the fender.
