I know its a cheap rim but its what i like and afford. i was wondering if 18x8 with +50mm offset will fit with no problem on stock everything? Also, what tire is a good to use? trying not to spend too much. Will the TPMS fit on this tire? i remember reading somewhere they dont fit on all rims, not sure if it was true though. Also, i tried googleing what offset is and im still lost about that. can someone explain that to me? i want a more flush look than stock. it bothers me a little the way my tire is now.

Ok, so first off, that offset is to high. Try and stick around +44 - +38 with an 8" width. Also, tire wise you could do 225/45 or 235/45. Personally, I would go for the 235/45.
The TPMS must fit the wheel, not the tire. The wheel should fit our TPMS sensors without any issues according to the description.

ok, they had a lower offset on the site late last week and it looks like they changed the site a little or something. thanks for the tire input, ill make sure to remember that when looking for tires for them.

i read that before i made this post and im still confused. is it the +50mm will be out farther and more flush or even past the car and a +38mm would be more into the car like it is now?

the lower the offset, the farther it will stick out. Higher offset will be more sunken in.

You also need to make sure the lug nut pattern matches the wheel studs.

i know. what is the pattern for a 2009 gts? before i thought it was 114.3 but now on tirerack.com it only gives you 114

What up buddy, here's additional info, 1st off the bolt pattern for ur car is 114.3 x 5, as for the tire sizes i'd go with 225/45 because ur Diameter Difference is 1.39% as oppose to the 235/45 witch is 2.7%. As for the TPMS sensors the guy on the other post was right , they will fit on every wheel. But here' s what I Did, I took all of the TPMS sensors off and mounted them in the spare tire under 37 psi. That will prevent the service soon to come on everytime you turn ur car on . i found that solution more practical because you don't need to buy extra ones or take off the sensors everytime you change your wheels. ( I also cut the LED wire at the ECM to prevent the tire LED to go on once in a while)

so the 114x5 isnt going to fit? when i put my car into tirerack.com to look at wheels, they show the pattern of 114x5. Is there a way to look at 114.3x5?

You can go with a 235/40 instead of a 235/45. But odd sizes like that get expensive. When you are on tirerack input your make and model and it will show you ALL wheels that fit your application. They do "extensive testing" to make sure all wheel and tire combinations work on the cars they list them for. Basically this means they take the rim and mount it on the car. That is how people know a 16inch steel wheel will fit on the Lancer GTS with the larger brakes. There is almost no gap near your caliper but they fit the car just fine.

What up buddy, when they say 5 x 114 it actually means 5 x 114.3 on tirerack so you can choose pretty much any rims with that bolt pattern95 x 114) just keep in mind of the offset.

And for some tires you can go with the hankook ventus v12 evo k110. They are great tires for the price and have very good reviews. And have em on my Lancer (225/35/19) and they feel great with low road noise and good traction. Hopes this helped. Regards.
