auto ****fting probs

i know it didnt do this when i 1st got it, but now when im am sometimes slowy driving (gas is less then halfway to floor) it jerks into the next gear. and if i hit the gas pretty hard like almost to the floor and let off completly then hit the gas again it jerks REALLY hard and something makes a "clunking" sound. i know this is not good, but what could it be?

Did you reset the battery? If so, the ecu is relearning its perimeter.

Otherwise, it's the nature of auto tranny bogging a bit. The fuzzy logic hasn't really caught up to the input of the acceleration.

You shouldn't worry about the tranny until beyond 65K in mileage or constantly trying to shift it like a manual. If the latter, you have induce premature wear.

also, if it bothers you that much, you can always take it back to the dealership and let one of their techs drive it around to see if it may be a potential problem... should be under warranty still

Yea, sounds exactly like what is happening to mine. Of course the local Mitsubishi dealer around here just went out of business so I need to find out where another Mitsu dealer even is before I can take it in. Does anyone know if a Dodge dealership will take care of the Mitsus...I mean since they "own" us and all.
