Has anyone heard of this??
ok so apparently in calif. it is illegal to have an aftermarket turbo in your car. so i was talking to a friend of mines who said that there is a turbo kit that is ran from the back of you car up to the front. he even said that you would get cooler air because of the location. its ran from the back so with custom piping you could keep the front cat. have you guys heard about this type of turbo cause i thought all kits were ran from where the header is located.

Its a Remote-Mount or a Rear-Mount Turbo kit. Read the FAQ. I've seen a ScionTC with it on youtube and it seems to work great.

i tried emailing sts about making a turbo for a lancer and they have yet to respond =(. thats what I what thought too about the whole precat exhaust thing, but someone on another lancer forum said that no matter what a turbo is going to mess with the emissions.

You will have to present this number to the smog station where the car is being tested.
It's either this method or... the removal and installation method (which because of the nature of work I am in, I can not recommend - but it's do-able).
