Thumbs up This was the best deal I have ever got!!!!!!

I just installed my short shifter for my lancer that I purchased online. It fit perfect and went in in about 15 minutes. I was thinking about getting a B&M Short Shifter, but I really didn't feel like spending $160.00 for it, I heard that I could get one for $35.00 from a shop in Washington State, so I gave them a call, it turned out that the $35.00 short shifter was the same quality as the B&M short shifter. The only difference is that I saved $125.00. If anyone is looking for a short shifter I would check them out first, they said that it will fit the 00-03 Lancer (US Type / Non EVO) as well as the 00-03 Eclipse. I don't want to list their website because people get pissed about that, so if you have any questions you can e-mail them at street.customs@verizon.net

I didn't mean that they would get pissed, I thought that people in the forum would complain...

street customs sells on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2436620052
that is the shifter right there. I bought one and its awesome. My friend has an evo and he got a b&m and is pissed because my throws are even shorter than his.
The quality is amazing. The only thing you may need to go buy is the lube and some people may need this retainer piece(i did'nt need the retainer but I hear the evos do)

And not only does it fit the eclipses and lancers it fits evos too!
This has been posted before but I thought i would just update everyone.

In addition to the shorter shift than the B&M was there any change in the lateral (left/right) throw? That would be cool! What about bushings? (yeah, they're cheap, but it would be an even more kick *** deal! )

the urethane bushings mosty keep the shifter from getting sloppy. No not necessary, but several people in April were posting that they hated their B&M because it felt like crap. They got the bushing for cheap, installed them and have liked the short shifter ever since.
Some folks have reported no problems with reusing the stock bushings. I'll be changing mine.

Bought one from street customs 2 days ago... got in Wisconsin already.. wow!!!

Easy install (will do an install manual for you guys tomorrow probably)

The thing is actually made as claimed out of T6 aluminum and under further investigation is actually CNCed to spec from what I looked at. VERY nice quality (actually better than our stock lancer shifter quality by a long shot... you'll see what I mean when you take yours out)

It is a very big reduction in shift throw (nearly 50%) and actually generates a big side to side reduction in throw as well... so large in fact that 5th gear is now where you use to expect 3rd gear to be.

One "Problem" though... the stock knob will not fit on unless you remove the retaining ring on the boot. So currently I'm shifting with the steel stub through the boot... But the threads match up actually and the stock knob will thread directly on.

Here's a pic of the two:
