Crank won't turn by hand!?
Ok so I have been baffled on this for a few weeks now and I have no idea what this problem could be.
I recently dropped my transmission to replace the slave and clutch. Made sure the clutch was aligned perfectly so I slapped the transmission back on did up a couple bolts and tried to turn the crank by hand and it won't budge!? The transmission is flush on the engine with no gap I even tried to take off the bolts to see if it's actually sitting perfect and it is.
soon as I split the transmission a bit I can turn the crank by hand. Also it almost looks like the flywheel is hitting the transfer case but that makes absolutely no sense as this was the same flywheel I was using before and it worked like a charm. I've tried re-dropping the transmission and putting it back on and same thing something is wrong I just can't figure out what it is!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
btw my car is a 03 lancer Oz rally.

Make sure both dowel/alignment pins for the trans are in place on the engine block.

Make sure the pressure plate isnt coming into contact with the bellhousing. Had that problem on my mustang after a clutch upgrade.

ya but how is that possible? I put a new clutch in it but it's the exact same one I had in it before other than that I haven't replaced anything else so it should fit? Wouldn't make sense if the pressure plate was hitting the bell housing because it all fit before I dropped the transmission?!

if its exactly the same thats probably not your issue then. Have you checked to make sure the transmission can spin freely?

Yes I also checked that, the transmission spins freely. I can spin the crank by hand like less than a squarter of a spin but then it stops so it's not completely seized. Still doesn't make sense though.
