We have the same transmission as the Mirage, but I'm not sure about gear ratios. I used to have the info, but I can no longer find it (oddly enough).

gimme a sec...

F5M42
mph @ 6000 rpm on 195/60/15
1st ... 3.583 @ 31.8 mph
2nd ... 1.947 @ 58.52 mph
3rd ... 1.379 @ 82.63 mph
4th ... 1.030 @ 110.63 mph
5th ... 0.767 @ 148.56 mph

Final Drive...3.722

I was gonna say- just look for Rhyzin's posts in the PDA dyno thread.
Good work man {thumbup}

I too....was searching for the gear ratios a while back, but couldn't find them :dunno:

thanks guys...exactly what i was looking for...

i was really wanting to compare the ratio's to the Mirage 1.5 Trans since those seemed like they would be better for the 2.0...so i maybe getting one...since its exactly the same aside from the Ratios...

HobieKopek Feb 13, 2004 11:09 AM

Adam, you're a madman! I love it!

I've never seen the 4g15 tranny. It's the same F5M42? Oh boy, this is making things interesting.

AdamJ39 Feb 13, 2004 10:33 PM

just for you all to see...the 1.5 trans (Manual) F5M41

F5M41

1st- 3.583
2nd-1.947
3rd-1.343
4th-0.976
5th-0.804

VS

F5M42

1st- 3.583
2nd-1.947
3rd-1.379
4th-1.030
5th-0.767

so basically 1st and 2nd are oveously the same...but 3rd and 4th are longer and 5th is shorter....if you were talking MPH range...i would think that the 4G94 and G93 would get better responces from the F5M41 trans...the 4 door Mirage's with 1.8's came with the F5M41 trans while all the 2 doors got F5M42's....and i know some of the 4 doors guys have said they pull well...guess someone would have to try both to really find out for sure...hummm maybe that will be me

Just wondering if anyone knows the top speed in gears for the '04-'06 Ralliart. I want to compare them to an '02 OZ Rally but I cant find them anywhere. I know the ratios but not the max speed at redline in each gear.

3rd - 1.379 - 83 mph
4th - 1.030 - 111 mph
5th - 0.820 - 140 mph
Fin - 4.04

I just want to clarify for myself, you say these speeds are at 6K. The Ralliart redlines at 6500. Did you make a mistake or would the speeds at redline be higher than these?

Yes, if you rev to 6500, then the speeds will be higher, assuming his 6000 RPM isn't a typo.

That was a typo. The speeds noted were for 6500. I corrected my post.
