terrible clicking noise
terrible clicking noise
It began last night. On almost any kind of left turn I'm getting a clicking noise. I think its my CV joint, anyone else had this problem? I think its getting worse.
I'll have to put my cat back on for the dealership i guess...
And this morning I wake up and my tire was flat... bigass screw lodged in the front right tire...
and the spare donut the dealership gave me was a 5 lug instead of a 4...
What a good day

^--exactly. Get the flat fixed and then check to see if the clicking is there still. One time my mom got a 1/2inch trailer hitch pin stuck in her rear tire (don't ask how because at the tire shop everyone was like wtf it looks like a metal cigar with no sharp ends lol). It clicked so loud and we though something on the car was broke. It even threw the tire off balance over 40mph.
If it is a C/V you have to replace the entire axle which is rediciously highly priced. There are repair (rebuild) kits available for about $100.00. Or you can get a proper axle shop to remanufacture yours. Nobody currently does.
it actually went away a little bit after i got the tire fixed...
but the guys at morristown tire said it was prob the c/v joint and would only be 250 to fix.
im gunna see if i can get it covered by my dealership, but they suck....
maybe i can squeeze some free service out of the poorly sized donut...
i def still hear the clicking though, its just slightly better now. I think i was hearing the problem + the screw in the tire...
time to call bell mistu...
