So, my mom was following me so that we could take her car in to get some work done and she called my cell and said. "is it okay that your muffler is shaking like that?" None of my friends have ever said anything and how often am i following myself right? Anyway, i have the magnaflow muffler they sell at RRM and my question is, is this because of the stock rubber hangers? And if so, any suggestions of how to make this stop. Im pretty sure some people use the Kartboy hangers but i havent looked too much into the issue of whether or not they fit or dont.

Lol...you mean "jiggles." I was wondering if you meant your muffler was laughing.

The muffler might be hanging a bit too low, or one of the hangers might have come loose. Get underneath and check the hangers.

i got a similar problem....but i have the RMR axelback....it wobbles everywhere and it hit and squeaks... wobbles so much it messed up my bumper. =\

 

I am almost positive the kartboy hangers will fit and fix the problem, but I will know for sure in a few weeks..... my cat-back magnaflow rattles into the bumper a little bit too

 

oh boy, i cant spell worth a daym, and i didnt even think twice about it, oh well, i fixed it, but uh yeah, those stock rubber hangers make my exhaust go all over the place, id be nice to hear from someone who has actually resolved this problem.

 

Kartboy to the rescue! Seriously, I had the same problem with my catback, and realized it was using only two of the three available hangers from the axle back, so I had a muffler shop weld on an extra hanger for the third, and no more problem here. I mean it still moves slightly, but never hits anything and is solid enough for me.

 

^ so you do use the kartboy hangers?

 

Kartboy hangers + install = problem solved. You won't regret it.

 

broken hangers suck man...i feel your pain...i've cracked 3 so far hahaha
