OH dammit, I never had the stock filter, when I got the car, it came with the "do it urself" air filter, and the MAF sensor, had some weird gunk **** over the WHOLE thing, so I'm guessing that someone tried to seal it with that ****.

It's not worth worrying about. From what you said about your MAF sensor, you will probably need to replace it.

i had the exact same problem your having. My power steering even died at one point.

just keep messing with stuff check ALL connections. I found out that the cable going from the MAF had a loose connection so i just unplugged it, blew on it to get all the dirt out, then plugged it back in as hard as i could.

Unplugged the battery for 10mins, then started it up, let it sit for 10 mins. It worked fine.. I haven't had any problems since

Hmmm......but there are only TWO connections, from the piping itself, and the MAF sensor, what else can I possibly check?

You can clean out the maf sensor with maf cleaner, thats the first thing i would do after getting rid of the typhoon tube. Check all connections, and you can run the filter directly to the maf sensor. I believe you would need an adapter for it like the evo but i,m not sure.

Well, the problem has been figured out, I wanna thank snapdragun for his help, it is indeed my MAF sensor, MANY honeycombs are horribly bent, luckily I have one on the way :-)

And to the people talking **** about the typhoon intake, how do you come to this conclusion? I've had mine on for about 2 years now with no problems what so ever, and know plenty of people with them. And it looks a hell of a lot better than the stock rubber intake tube.
