Mirror plastics and others fading

i was wondering if anyone else had the plastics on the bottom of the mirrors fading to an ugly grey color and the plastic wiper things on the hood (correct name is escaping my mind rite now) which are the worst outta the 2 spots. im gonna try to take pictures of them later but they look 8 years older than the rest of the car and its bothering me alot. i was also wondering if this has happened to anyone else, wut have u used to protect them and get them back to their original color.

to me it looks like wax residue. I had the same thing happen to me. I just wiped the mirrors down with seafoam, and took the washer nozzles off and wiped those down, put em back on... they've stayed orignal black for almost a year now.

DEFINITELY wax residue. Had the same thing happen to me. Wipe them down good with a appropriate cleaner/conditioner.

It's the clay-ish eraser you can buy at an art supply/hobby store. They don't leave eraser dust behind...and will clean your trim.

My white lancer has the backside of the mirror fading like if the clear coat is not there anymore. I think I need to re-shine it.
