Does your headlight turn on when you first start your car?

If you dont have a relay then thats why they arent turning on. The HID ballasts need a constant voltage. If you dont turn your headlights on all the way before you put it into gear then your DRLs (day time running lights) are kicking in. Your DRLs require less voltage then HIDs and the ballasts are switching of to protect your bulbs from damage.

Either turn your lights on all the way before you put it into gear or get the relay harness and this will solve your problem.

Use the search button as well because this is a common topic.

My headlight is not turned on before I start my car. I start my car then turn on the headlight.
But when I put it in gear first before turning on the headlight maann it won't work.

Its the DRLs man lol. They cut in when you start driving or put it into gear.

Turn on your car, turn your lights all the way (two clicks) then put it into gear. If you switch them off while driving the only way to turn them back on is switching off your car.

Get a relay harness from DDM. Mine are from DDM and do the same thing.

Did you upgrade the fuse from 10AMP to 20AMP?

Are you replacing the low beam or high beam? I think it's the same as when I did mine. I had to replace the fuse to the low beam from 10 to 20 amps. GL! By the way, how much did you buy your kit for?

^ only really need low beams with HIDs, Did you upgrade the fuse on an 08 or 09? DDM has digital ballast that cut out when the voltage dips from DRL's.

$65 for the digital 55W slim ballast. had these for 1.5 years and still running great.

No, never head of this. HIDs draw less power from the car so it will never blow the fuse. The ballasts do all the work by bumping up the wattage.

for those who got ddmtuning kits, what else did you guys buy from them when initially purchasing? harness, eliminator, adapter, brackets?? if i got the harness or eliminator do i still need the drl bypass? i remember reading somewhere that the eliminator helps with any flickering issues idk??

Xenonsupply has really good HIDS. It comes with a harness and a capacitor so your DRL don't flicker. So there is no issue with DRL.
