When should i take my car to get its first oil change? It is at the 3K mark of miles right now. Does the car tell me when to get my first oil change?

The owners manual tells you when. Best first mod is reading the owners manual.

Really just depends on you owners manual says 7200 miles or 6 months mitsu does use synthetic oil.

Mitsu does not use synthetic oil! not in the base lancer! And 7200 miles is too much, follow the severe maintenance schedule.

i know this isnt the evo section but im pretty sure the evo x engine cover has a mobil 1 sticker on teh edge of it.

mobil 1 factory fill.

The EXO X will use synthetic and call for it on oil changes, but as for the base lancer, it isn't a synthetic and I don't know what brand they use.....call Japan!

I checked the owner's manual...its says 7200 O_O i dont think its right...because they print the same for all cars. I have to change the oil by August 30th because the coupon they sent me for my first oil change expires on that date.

7200 miles is the regular maintenance schedule. You do not want to follow this. Follow the SEVERE maintenance schedule as stated before!!
