Question Buzzing sound when shifting on automatic.Bad Sensor?

It’s been going on for a while on my O4 Lancer and can’t really find the location of this sound .

I believe it might be a sensor causing the issue.

If I take my car from Park to Reverse , Neutral to Reverse or Neutral to Drive or vice versa my car will make this weird Electrical / Buzzing sound when shifting between gears. I’m assuming it might be a bad sensor but not sure.

I know my IAC and TBP sensors are shot and will be replaced shortly. Not positive but don't think those are causing this sound?

Any ideas on this subject or have any of you experienced this before?

I know what you are talking about and I have heard it when going from reverse to drive and I drive an 02 automatic ES. I don't have any ABS on my car and as far as I'm concerned its nothing to be worried about because I haven't had any problems.

Anyone else have heard this?

It doesn't seem to be a problem as far as I know, just happens consistently now . The research I put in seems it has nothing to do with a sensor most likely unless someone else clarifies otherwise.

CVT uses a planetary gear box to push through our gears and usually a vzzzzzzzzzzz sound is generated mostly known to happen on automatics. Probably just gets more noticeable as miles are accumulated.

I actually removed my planetary gear box and manually arranged the gears back together. Took 2 weeks to figure out the gear notches and timing. If your curious of what the gear box looks like, take a look at my other thread.

wow didn't know you actually did that much work.

I've heard horror stories of many people with any car who drain their transmission fluid and their cars no longer shifting the way they used to and issues thereafter.

Besides that I got nothing. Worst case scenario, take it to a mechanic.
