Heated Oxygen Sensor Error P2252 (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
Heated Oxygen Sensor Error P2252 (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
As the title implies, my oxygen sensor is throwing out P2252 on the DTC's , and lucky me, my inspection is due by the end of October.
My mechanic found the list price for the sensor to be $366 sans tax. Dealership pricing is probably just as high.
Am I going to have to dish out that amount for one sensor? Or has anyone found a more cost effect solution to this error, hope I can get it solved by the end of October
Cheers

Because this O2 sensor controls the ECU mixture (and not Cat performance) it cannot nor should not be 'bypassed' (w/ MIL Eliminator tricks).
Replace it. Me? I would check EBay for a used one and before that i would inspect the wiring to the O2 sensor for chaffing/cuts. i would also search the 'net and replace it myself.

Solved. I ordered one from Rockauto.com
Apparently Mitsubishi uses Denso sensors, and they sell for between $40-OEM priced . Bought the $40 Denso, took a day but the error finally went away, car seems to run abit smoother too.
