2008 Lancer ES bluetooth install problem

Ok, I purchased a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES last week from a used car dealership. The V.I.N number is JA3AU26U48U604104. I tried to program my cell phone to the hands free buttons on the steering wheel. Nothing happened. So I did some research online and resized that I did not have a bluetooth module mor a mic installed as the car had come pre-wired for bluetooth. All i needed to do was purchase the bluetooth kit. As a mechanic myself this was a straight forward job. Get the parts then bring the car to the dealer to get the hands free activated. So i looked up the parts online at a Mitsubishi parts website, the sight only honoured a 30 day return policy no warranty with shipping and duty it would cost more that the dealer. So I called up mitsubishi hamilton ordered the parts threw them and made an appointment the next day to get it programmed into the car. I installed the parts, then the next day drove from Niagara Falls to Hamilton. Turns out they booked me in for the wrong day. But instead of turning me away they squeezed me in. After the car goes in the tech sais that the car is not picking up the module and to fix this I need a software update to make it work cause the computer would not recognize the bluetooth. There would be a charge of 75 dollars plus labour. I told them to forget it, i just spent 300 dollars on the unit that should just have to be activated Im not spending any more money. I would take the module and mic out and return the parts. They then informed me that that is not possible do to the no returns on electronics policy. They then said they would try and figure something out. I agreed to pay $75 dollars for the software update it it would make the system work. They came back a short while later and informed me that even with the new software the bluetooth still does not work, and that the tech even tried a stereo unit in my car that he knows works with the bluetooth and it still did not work. I told them again to forget about it and get my car out of the shop. I asked him if it is in any way possible that the module that they sold me could be defective in any way. His response "I would be my dallar that the module is not the problem". He then goes on to tell me that my car was not designed for bluetooth and that I am pretty much boned at this point.

So all they sold me a bluetooth module for my car that is pre-wired for it, steering wheel functions and all, and cause they dont know what is wrong, It is now apparently not made for hands free calling.....

Due to the crappy way everything turned out I was only charged for a half hour labor, which was the techs time when he found out that the software update did not work.

I drove away and realized that my radio did not work. I figured that the antena was not re-connected. as all my tools were at home I drove back and the teck fixed to antena. While travailing home to Niagara falls a started to realize that when I push down on the signal switch it no longer does its automatic 3 signals. Huh weird... Then I get home and go to lock the car and it no longer beeps when you hit the lock button on the remote twice. The car did all this before i brought it in. So I called the dealership about this he sais that those are customizations that have to be programmed and do not come standard on the car. I called him on that. I told him that any new car that you get does these functions. I asked him if I were to drive one of his cars off the lot right now that car would not have tose functions? he said no. I told him that my car should do what it did when i brought it in and have the same function coming out. I told him that they screwed something up. He then tells me that the battery may have been disconnected during its service and that car has to re-learn itself. I said I just drove from Hamilton to Niagara Falls the car re learned itself 20 minutes after i pulled out of your driveway. He then told me to come back and they would re program the car.

I did some more digging and found that the features that no longer were working are suppose to be factory default. This is according to a service manual that I was able to find.

All In all what are my options here, and was the tech doing something wrong. These module are mostly plug and play from my experience working as a tech.. i would really like some feedback and be referred to a dealership that is not going to mess my car up. I should not have to pay anymore money to get anything straightened out. I want my car back to the way it was.
