So i was cleaning my engine bay off today and had the intelligence to close my hood on a disconnected battery. So now i cant get into my freaking car.

I managed to pry off the bottom front grille and reach up to the latch but pushing it over did nothing, closed it all back up.... and then i realised there is, of course, a cable release.

Now what i wanna know is can i just reach up there like i did before and yank the cable to open the latch? I dont wanna rip it all apart again for nothing but i also wanna get into my car.

Any ideas?

Oh btw i disconnected the negative terminal on the battery not the positive if that makes any difference
