Strange Squeal sound?
Having a strange squeal like noise coming from my 2013 lancer GT. Need help identifying this issue thanks!
(The noise does seem to be coming from upfront in the engine)

Thanks for the welcome!
I got about 92000 miles logged so far. I used to notice the noise more when the A/C was on when it first started happening so I was thinking bad bearing but now it does it no matter what ac on or not.

Does it do it while stationary?
You could ask someone to rev the car while you look under the hood.
It does sound tensioner related to me.

Step one - change the belt - it is due.
Spin each idler pulley and listen.
If you still have noise - carefully Carefully! while the engine is running, listen to each component with a long socket extension. (Did i say be careful?
