Hello everyone. Was looking to see if anyone could give me advise on an issue I have been having for quite sometime. When I first bought my 09 lancer, I noticed the car would overheat only at drive throughs. I stopped, and noticed that the fans wouldn’t turn on, even with the AC pumping cold air. Once I started driving again, the car would cool down and the overheating notification would go away. It’s been like that for almost two years.

Starting yesterday, even when driving the car it would still over heat. The heat would fluctuate between medium to high over and over again. I’m staring to believe it could be the thermostat? There are no coolant leaks, the coolant level is full, the water pump isn’t making any weird noises, and all the relays are good.

What could the issue be? The coolant fan housings?
