daytime running lights (front) won't turn on

Alrighty, so this is my first post here but I've been lurking and reading for quite a while :cool: :cool:.

Ever since I got my 2002 Lancer ES (like two years ago), my Daytime running lights on my headlights didn't work. I took the bulbs out and they were broken so I figured that it just didn't work because of a bulb. Well recently I've decided to try to "restore" my lancer and that included buying new headlights. I bought some headlights which came with new bulbs and installed them... but the daylights still didnt work.

I have no clue why the daylights won't work now, I have tried new fuses, new headlights, and new bulbs (with new headlights).

When I twist the knob to turn them on, I hear a CLICK right around my fuse box but the front daylights won't turn on. HOWEVER, the tail lights DO come on. I'm talking about the bulbs on the sides of the headlight.

What else should I try? Is it a relay switch maybe?

The circled light.

Also the fuses I changed are in slots 13, 20, and 21. I'm pretty sure the "click" is in the "big green box" in the fuse box which is about.. 2 inches long by 1 inch. It's labeled as a ECU in the fuse box. When I remove that, the click no longer happens when I turn the knob (but niether my headlights or my daylights work with it removed).

I'm kind of a car nooby so forgive me for being a dummy, I'm trying to learn :)

Thanks in advance! {thumbup}

I took it to autozone/pepboys/murrays and they didn't know what to do. We checked the grounds (theres a seperate ground for each light) and they seem good. It must be a lose wire???
