Turbocharged Lancer 08 DE possible fuel issues

So I have a 2008 Lancer DE that is turbocharged and tuned. My car wont start. Battery is brand new so that shouldnt be the problem. I replaced the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump isn’t sending fuel to the fuel rail. I pulled the hose out to see if it would at least spit out the fuel when i tried starting it but nothing. I dont even hear the usual humming noise from the fuel pump. Im guessing its something between the fuses or the pump. Please help!!
thanks in advance

Alberto

Use a 12VDC lantern battery to power the pump directly.
Works? Wiring. Keep backtracking until you get to 12VDC...
Doesn't work? Replace pump & return defective unit.

The thought is that you may have a defective new one as well...
Not impossible. It Is a quick way to eliminate it as a source of the problem.

Best is to use a multimeter and just start chasing voltages. ;)

I agree that its not impossible but i may have the worst luck ever to buy a defective part..
btw does the battery have to be 12v or can it be 9v because for some reason i cant seem to find a 12v battery..

Update!!

I manually powered the old fuel pump and the new one and they both worked. So the fuel pumps were not the problem. So I manually powered the fuel pump when I reinstalled it and was able to get some fuel to the fuel rail and was able to start the car after a few attempts. Once the car is running i realized the pump starts working again.. but only when the car is running. To my understanding when you turn the key the fuel pump is supposed to turn on for a couple of seconds before actually starting the car.. which my car is not doing. So i guess my problem is kinda solved. Just have to figure out why it doesnt activate before turning the key.
