RRM Brake Pad Instal Help
Ok heres the deal. I took off the old brake pads and they had these little metal clips on them. I tried to fit them on to the new brake pads and they would only fit on one side and there was no groove on the new pads for the little top clip from the old ones. I called RRM and they said i had to file them down. My question is how do you file them down and with what? (ie sandpaper, rasp, metal file thing) Also how important is it to have the metal clips and stuff on there? I'm glad I have 2 cars, b/c my lancer is sitting in the drive way on a jackstand and one wheel off. Oh well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, ryan.

metal file or grinding tool for a dremel should work fine.

MAKITA! Just need a little clearance so that pads don't bind on the clips.
