CEL fixes introductory offer $15
hence why it's a "test pipe" removal of any cat on an obdII car before the second 02 sensor will almost allways trip CEL lights. the hard part is knowing how to deal with them.
I have nothing bad to say about the RRM parts, but if you do get a cat ineffencency code... I can help without endangering the operation of the vehicle.
thanks
Jeff

ok look, here's the problem...the first O2 sensor is before the first cat....the second one is inside the second cat. the first sensor takes an initial o2 reading and the second one makes sure the second reading is different than the first one(i think). now the problem comes when u take either the first cat out or both. i think by just taking the second one out you'll be fine. i have both the header and the test pipe and my CEL is still burning my retinas. i do have the MIL eliminator from ILP, im just waiting to install it. hope this helps
Mine is different. I have non-cali spec.
I'm using home-made radio shack parts. It has worked for the past 8 month, but somehow the ecu is refusing its reading off the 2nd O2 sensor. It's like a organ transplant rejection.

Please don't give the IMPRESSION that our test pipes cause CEL because they do not. Bung for O2 sensor in the second cat (which our test pipe replaces) is before the actual element material therefore only removal of the first cat on a Lancer can cause CEL. Over 100 test pipes are out there and none,NONE have caused CEL.
This is meant to reasure ours customers that CEL eliminator is not needed with our test pipe!

i have the road race test pipe and header installed, and the check engine light is not on. The person i was riding with one time said he saw it flash on for a second but that was all of it.
