R33 Skyline fire

I was driving on the I-5 southbound on sunday morning (10-3-2004) at about 5:15am and somewhere near carlsbad (I think) it looked like there was a silver or white skyline totally ablaze from front to back. Like seriously, 7 foot flames engulfing the entire car. Both doors were wide open and it appeared that two occupants had made it away from the car and were watching it burn from another vehicle about 50 feet down the freeway.

Anyone know if it made it into the news anywhere in San Diego county? I just want to know if that was actually a skyline or if it was something with a bodykit.

If it was, that totally sucks and I send my condolences to the owner since Skylines are awesome vehicles.
