I Have a friend that tows for mazda and says it even happens on the new one at the dealer.

 

i like how they look...to bad they are slow. even jay leno said they were slow. the evo just clicks a few more times in chicago cold so far.

i think it has to do with the rotary having to be beat on to get it right that it has trouble getting the rotors to spin enough to kick over

PS people who dont live in chicago dont know but it can get perdy damn cold here.

Lived in New york but went to basic at Great Lakes Naval training Center. Dude, Cold does not begin to describe the temperature drop in Chicago in winter.

As for the RX-8 not liking the cold... Come on guys NO car LIKES the cold. Some just deal with it a little better than others. I have yet to see a car turn over on the first crank when it's twenty below... Of course I have been in Florida for the past twenty years... But I did spend twenty years in NY and in the winter, none of my dad's cars started easily.

 

Yea i am in florida too, so this is just something that we dont have to worry about
