And you thought you got pulled over.

yeah he is the news caster guy, and he does some local classical guitar performances. I had a carfull of drunks and it took everything they had to not give the cop a ton of ****.
But its not out of the question for an enlisted person to be able to afford something like that, the military pays for almost all of your living expenses, and gives you a check, too.

As far as i know, the only time they would be able to pull over a civilian is if it is on the base, or directly next to it on government property, like in the base housing areas. Outside of the base im pretty sure they dont have any jurisdiction.
I would never, ever pull over for anything but a well-marked cop car. Too many robbers and rapists put a little flashing light on the dash of their 'unmarked' car and get easy prey. If the real police want to stop you, they'll send a marked unit out soon enough...
hmm...this guys position has me confused. hes a texas ranger, stationed on a military base, driving an STI pulling people over in Utah and New Mexico.
im lost. allow me to think out loud.
can a texas ranger ticket someone in another state?
im pretty sure texas rangers arent in the military, so why is he stationed @ Kirtland?
why cant i have his car?

Actually now I'm confused. He showed me a Texas Ranger badge, but he WAS stationed in Utah now is stationed in NM as a MP for Kirtland airforce base. If he was a MP in Utah I'm not sure. Maybe he is a reserve and is a texas ranger, but got called up and now is a MP. I'm no cop buff. I'm just trying to put things together as he told me them. He has to still be a Texas Ranger if he showed me a badge, plus he mentioned he used to have a sensor for the exhaust noise and he had a radar gun in Utah. He mentioned they would pull over guys running catless and would give them tickets along with pulling over cars speeding, all in the STi.
