supras cost 60k??

 

Both drivers are professional race car drivers in Japan. I doubt those are their own cars, just testing and "comparing" for the "Best Motoring" video...

I have seen that video and that Supra is twin turboed, and see how the F1 just says have a nice day. The last I looked the
TT Supra was still only in the 30k range, hell brand new they where only 50k, but since the FNF movie came out the prices have gone up alot.(God I hated that movie)

 

actually if I remember right, the supra can reach about 200+ mph if not electronically limited. it was one of the fastest production line cars for a while there.. but thay may have been only here in the states. I've driven a TT supra, not a fan, rather get an NA and do a single big turbo conversion. but I've been in supra's at 160+ that run it all day long. and I've also heard of supra's pushing enough power to spin the tires right off the rims. a supra can beat an F1, but it will take $$$.

well F1 is 1.6 mil...but that supra is Top Secret tuned? or Blitz? some famous tuner i think...

ANYWAYS, yes there are McLaren F1's in the states, street legal...i think they were the MP4 versions...which were NOT final products of the F1...however those were the only versions that were able to pass the emission laws of the US...

my friend (pretty rich neighborhood he lives in) says that his neighbor got a mclaren f1...haven't seen it tho so

 

The F1 ran about $1 million US new. A Supra TT was about $40k new, back in the mid 90s. The TT's top speed wasn't anywhere near 200 mph, though - more like 175 (not very aerodynamic). And the F1's top speed is about 235, so, yeah...

 

I'll try and find the links, but there were supra's that were over 200....*goes to google*the motor made the power, it just needed the room to get up to speed...I'm gonna go do some searching. and year for year, I think the supra is just as fast or faster than an F1, but not sure if the version we got stateside was the one I'm thinking on...but I saw a video of the supra test run that was like 202mph or something back in 96 or 97...I need to look for it.

And uhh, you know , this is pointless...WSB, I conceed to you the win. I'm too lazy to look any more...I guess i'll have to go get my buddies car and pray it's still stock. I'll just chip it and have the limiter removed....then we'll see.

 

On a side note, I have a built SS that when it runs will prolly take the mclaren in the 1/4 or half....well, prolly just the 1/4. it's running about 8.2 s in the 1/4...I'll have to find ma slips...I'm actually fairly new to the import tuning thing, but stick me behind a 'maro, 'stang, 'bird, I'll show ya some magic

 

not offending but im saying ppl always arguing like "yea give me a supra i can beat a ferrari for half the price"
a supra will never be an F1...no matter how fast u make a honda civic is still not a ferrari...ferrari even if its slow it wins just by outclassing it

another thing.......the F1 will not be the king forever, that's how it goes...it was only because the top speed war a little while ago that we see all these cars like countach, f40, eb110, xj220, ruf yellowbird and f1.......but still F1 is already 10 years old if u're talking about GTR and LM is still 8 years old.......production car wise...it sux how its still "the ultimate" after 10 years

 

How do you figure that no supra can ever beat an F1? I guess that means an F1 does 7 seconds in the quarter mile ha?
PS: Whether you want to believe it or not, the supra used in the FNF was said to be able to keep up with an F1. That supra was badass, single turbo conversion with all the goodies!

 

cant freakin compare a 60'000 heavily mod supra with 1'500'000 stock mclaren f1, its just not fair
