In typical VAG fashion, the 2.0T is a stoutly built motor that will handle significantly more power than its making stock. As for how much boost it will handle, depends on the size of the turbo you have on it. Also, don't forget that the 2.0T is a direct injection motor; it can handle a lot more boost with the CR as high as it is than a conventional port injection engine.

Oh shi t, what to do man... I test drove one last night and was blown away by the quality of the interior, and the DSG was just awesome. But, I dont know if I can get rid of my evo for this, I really want to get into a new car, and I would have around 10k after selling my evo to do whatever (after some bills and stuff), I could prolly drop like 2-3k on the vdub right away at APR and have the HP numbers that we were looking at earlier... what to do!?

Same boat exactly Helif....... I too would like to use the equity in my evo to pay off bills and be near debt free, minus mortage of course........ And have a nice new shinney ride.

I still cant believe how the gti holds the road!!! That esp must do wonders for that car.

VW did a great job of marketing the gti with its funny comercials, got me into take a look at one. However the dvd they gave me had to be the worst marketing tool ever,,,, I want my hour back from watching that dumbass thing....... They could have made it a hellalot better, like showing what the gti can do performance wise.
