Personally, I think a Ferrari with AWD is as lame as an Evo with 2WD. Who cares how they handle in adverse condition? How often do you see a Ferrari driving in the snow or rain?

this will enhance the ferrari's performance rather hurt. If the AWD, does well - watch out ferrari's on the launch and watch the power. Ferrari dont make crap stuff- they do stuff intelligently

If I had a Ferrari, I really wouldnt be worrying about 0-60 or 1/4 mile. Just tracking it and highway driving

i agree that there are some plus and minus to this situation as with everything else.

imo the plus is that with so much power coming from each Ferrari models (minus the Modena) there will be less crashes if the power could be better controlled by awd.

down side is that the car *probably* won't feel as pure and exciting to drive. but then again it's Ferrari we're talkin about, so i doubt they'll mess up the driving experience just because 2 more wheels are propelling the car

I know we are talking about ferrari, but AWD does not help out lambo too much, those Murciélago are running through the 1/4 in 12.5, and they are over 500 hp. three times the displacement of the evo and three times the cylinders.
Ferrari is coming into the awd a little late, I dont think they will hold on to the awd systems too long.

AWD would make sense on the 612 Scaglietti. Since it's a GT, and meant for long-distance cruising, it makes the car safer during foul weather.

I don't see how it would help on cars like the F430 or Enzo since it adds weight.
