STi numbers drop in 2007

As much of an asset as the close gearing is to the STi/STI, it's also its downfall. If I mash my foot in 1st gear, I have about 2 seconds before I have to shift. There is basically NO TIME to even think about it. With the 2nd shift there is more space between it and 3rd gear, but you still have to be pretty quick. My "favorite" gears to shift are the 3-4. You finally get enough time to relax and hear the engine sing its full song.

I haven't heard that gearing was revised for 2007, but if that's the case, I'll definitely be at the dealership!
