Question about changing cams on a 2g DSM
Ray.. no responses but bottom line is that we accomplished the job. Cams are in and there is no ticking noise. Car started the first time and it iddles great despite being 272/272.
I was hoping more people to share experiences but I guess Ray and myself lead the experiment.

No, it is not too late, you did a fantastic job by letting us know. We successfully replaced the cams but we were not certain. Your inputs are very valuable, even after the fact..
Thanks for responding

this job was actually easier than an evo. The timing marks were different to line up, but the tool worked the same. The lifters has to be bled by a vice. The Evo lifters can be bled by sticking a small pin in the center hole. Other than that, it was cake........Ray
