Newb with an SRT-4
Hey all, I have a 2005 Black SRT-4 with minor mods to start, Progress springs, window tint and BWoody dog bone solid motor mounts. I had an AGP WGA, CTi side exit 3' turbo back exhaust and a mopar STS but decided to get rid of those things and start over by working on my suspension first, I plan to get my coilovers, hotchkis sway bars and a dc sport or pwerks rear strut bar along with wider wheels, a 16X7.5 with 225/40/16 tires up front and 17x7.5 with 22/50/17s in the rear because I have heard this set up helps alot in the handling and traction department, I however am a huge fan of the EVO and it will be my next car, I owe $11,000 on my 05 with 33k right now and don't know weather to keep it and continue on my mod path or pay it down and get rid of some credit cards and put myself on a limb a bit to have the car I always wanted even though I love my SRT-4. I have included pictures below, tell me what you think

meh. looks are less than appealing, but thats not your fault. youre always going to have nay-sayers on every board. decent pics as well, but for the love of god, have the car face a different direction!

Dude, I would trade that in immediately. No offense, but just by the comment you made to the guy with the Saturn that shows me that you need to have something to be proud of instead of paying for what is basically a quick neon. We all could bash on SRT-4's all day but that isn't what the thread is about. You asked for what we thought you should do, and that's what you should do. I happen to have an Evo now, but I did have a Ralliart Lancer and got harassed constantly by SRT-4 owners. Now that I have the Evo I am never pestered by them. Not stereotyping, just stating that if quality and performance is what you are looking for ditch the neon. If you want a quick little car that isn't going to get you any props with this forum, keep it. Hope your not offended just keeping is real.
Good call. The problem is, that they really (like it or not) are basically the guys who get constantly talked about, clowned on, and get alot of people pissed at. The attitude that alot of the owners (that I have met) is horrible. They must seriously believe there isn't any other car out there that they can't beat.
You're going to take a hit on that car. I say leave it alone, suck it up for about 2 years, since you seem to "love" it, and then trade it in when you've about broken even on equity. By that time, the Evo X will be out, and who knows, maybe there will be something else out there that you'd rather have.
