Updates on the BMW 335i
FYI the 335xi should outweigh the 335i by 230 pounds. That is the weight difference between a 328i and 328xi. I understand that BMW makes luxury cars, but I can't believe that they are making such heavy small cars. And then they tout how the coupe is 22 lbs lighter than the sedan?! I wish it was possible to order them with manual seats and some other basic weight savers to at least be able to get the car in the 3300-3400 range. It's tough for a sports car to be agile with how piggy these have gotten for weight. It seems as though BMW adds about 200 pounds each time they have redone the 3 series from e30 to e36 to e46 to e90-92. I know that most BMW drivers don't think about weight, but I wish BMW took into consideration the drivers they have who are still interested in motorsports etc. Sorry for the long post. I have been thinking of doing ED on a 335 and the biggest thing holding me back at this point is the heavy weight of the car.
Is that your silvr Tabby Billy? Awsome cat, and cute picture.
Im loving the 335i. And would love to test drive the coupe, but they are all spoken for before they hit the lots.
I have had my evo for 4 yrs now, and Im looking at cashing in on it, and enjoying another ride. More evo to 335i owners please chime in.
Also I crusie the e90post threads. I think Shiv's cat back does away with one or two of the stock cats.
Also anyone seen the Lemon interior yet,,,,,,,,,OMGGGGGGGGGG.

And that Lemon interior is soooooooo fkn nicee too bad we cant get them in the states in the coupes
I may have been a little premature with my post, I expect as time passes, more 335i that are making 340-350whp will be trapping 108-112mph. Just have to wait and see, I recently saw a procede 335i pull pretty heavily on a pretty modded e46 m3. Maybe the e46 owner wasn't the greatest of drivers, but I sure was impressed by the 335i.
People are actually changing them for Nittos, Khumos and other better tires. The pressure sensors works fine even after replacing the oem tires.
Someone weighted the rear 18" mounted rims with its 255s tires and the total weight per wheel/tire was 57.5lbs.
