Does anyone know what the record 1/4 mile time is for a 335i? Has anyone beaten the AMS record time of 8.5 1/4 mile with a 335i? The reason I am asking is because I got sucked into an argument with a cocky 335i owner who told me that Vishnu 335i's have broken into the 8 second 1/4 mile times and are already faster than the fastest Evos. I couldn't believe that. Do you guys know if this is true?

 

must be an amazing tuner to get a new platform to break 8s in 6 months or less. i dont think that has happened. Guy is probably just ignorant.

Its a tuning shop. They apparently were among the first to get their hands on a 335i and tune it. I know they made rediculous increases with just a tune, but I can't picture a 335i getting into the 10s even from what I've seen. I think it is stock rated at 300 crank hp not sure about actual whp...

And you believed the guy? lol the 335i is impressive what a tune can do to awaken the car, but it is not by any means even close to beating a fully built Evo in drag or Circuits IMO.

 

8 sec quater mile, hahaha. Its amazing how much hype this car is making just cause it has 2 little baby turbos in it.

Maybe if it was totally gutted to bear metal on the interior with a 150 shot of nitro.
