Any suggestions? Lawyer any help?
Basically, i was looking into an 06 evo mr 2 months ago.
Im 17 by the way, so remember price was an issue.
I couldnt get my mom to sign for it, she said to much.
So I settled for an 04 G35 6 speed.
Well, in the 2 months ive had it, 2 new window motor, replacement engine (yes new engine), clutch slave cylinder? maybe, syncros in tranny, shaking, shifter linkage.
and a few other things I cant recall.
Basically Ive been back to there shop 8 times now, Them having possesion of the car about 5 weeks of the 10 ive owned it.
Clutch now makes a whining noise when not engaged, and shifting linkage wont barely allow me into 5th or 6th.
Been back 4 times and they say nothing we can do, not our problem.
Now they offer me 10grand for a trade in, i bought it 2 months ago for 22k.
My mother and I have asked several times can we do I buyback, and get for an evo they have, a base model 05.
They say they wont buyback or help me in anyway.
Aswell as, the G35 passed MD state inspection with lowering springs, which I believe to be illegal to inspect. They did the inspection go figure.
Anything I can do? I want out of the POS and into the evo i wanted in the first place....
Sorry for the long post, but there was alot to be said.

found out from Infiniti the guy before me had a CAI on it, and hydrolocked cylinder 5 and bent a connecting rod, the rod was replaced but it burnt oil and sounded bad.
Which the covered up the sound somehow, for I didnt hear it when it was purchased

There is the "Lemmon Law". But i'm not sure how long you have to return the car. I would call a lawyer and explain your case. Just to see if you have a good case and if there is something they can do.

im not a lawyer or anything and i don't know how law works in the us. but in canada if you buy an inspected (certified) vehicule from a dealer and any major failure happens within i think 90 days in some provinces you have the full right to get 100 % of your money back. if you have the time & money to try and fight the dealership in court or something i would definatly try.... just my opinion though
*also it's very easy to get a bum safety in quebec and it's supposed to be government inspections, so you may have something there with the lowering springs*

hate to say it but those problems were very similar to my first manual car, and as a new teenage driver, I made sure to beat the **** out of it every time I got behind the wheel, I'll bet my entire paycheck that's part of the problem here.

Its possible driving habits could have created some of the problems. But I am going to side with the driver. The car sounds it was previously abused. It might take a year of hard driving to run into those problems. sounds like they have been happening from day one.
