Ok, first things first, to the moderators i wanna say im not trying to sell this car im just getting ppls opinions of what they think of the car, wat needs to be done, etc. so please dont lock the thread.

its a 97 gsx and it has the following mods:
3inturbo back Apexi N1 exhaust
272/272 crower cams
intake
Apexi safcII
Turbo XS BOV
Walboro 255lph fuel pump
Upper strut bars front and rear
14lbs of boost with the stock T25 turbo
carbon fiber hood

the cars interior is clean but it has 126xxx miles on original engine
and the paint is pretty bad on the top of the roof(see in picture)

the guy is asking 5300 obo and 5300 seems like A LOT to me for a car that needs a paint job and new engine soon, let me know what you guys on evom think. thanks

Go see him with $4000 cash with $500 set aside and see if you can work something out. $5300 is asking alot aright now so if you go with cash in your hand most will just take it. Everyone loves cash.

I know that car..That's this kid Mike from my area..lol I know he is willing to negotiate, so do like the other guy said.

 

4k, T25 is worthless and probably about to explode (mine did), 7bolt will either need a rebuild or a swap eventually, paint is poor, etc.

 

I will give him a solid $5000. If people are paying stupid $30000-$40000 for use Supra Turbos which should cost no more than $12000 why not paying $5000 a nice looking GSX. The peeling of the clear coat is cheap to fix.

$4000 is too low.

i dont think 4000 is too low, ino no one TRULY goes by kbb when selling a car but it has it private party value at about 3500. the cars engine isnt gonna last THAT much longer

 

If the car had a rebuilt motor in it or another turbo $5000 is a decent offer but the paints faiding and the car is getting up there with miles so $4000 is a more resonable offer.

 

IMO, start with $3500, worst case is he makes you go higher. The car doesn't need paint unless you want a show quality car. Just needs a good detailing and *maybe* a fresh coat of clear on the roof.

 

UPDATE: CF hood is done and needs to replaced but its a beautiful car!
