I have a 2002 JGCL for my winter beater. I'm waiting for the 2012 SRT8. If Jeep doesn't release one then I'll buy another EVO.

I hate to be that thread resurrection guy, but this seemed like the appropriate place. My lease for the lexus is up in a few months and I was looking at an SUV for a change as a daily. The evo seems like it'll be a great car to hold on to as a garage queen and weekend car. Was looking at macan, any opinions of a good SUV daily setup with the evo? Thanks

What are you looking for in an SUV? Can't go wrong with a Macan. If you want to go offroading it go with the new 4Runner.

Yup I've even sucked water into the intake when doing a water crossing, only stalled the engine but had to pull the spark plugs and suck out the water (thank goodness I didn't hydrolock the engine). Other than that I haven't had any major problems with the 4R, proper maintenance and these cars will last forever! Only bad thing is the mpg is horrible, I get about 13-14 on average 17 if it's all freeway (stock form was like 20mpg max).

My Evo is my daily. I dont care about the mileage going up. Dont care about the horrible gas mileage it gets. Dont care if I get rock chips. All I care about is having a very fun car to drive everyday. Its pointless to me to own such a fun car and rarely use it.

I leave the garage sitting to my impractical car that gets about 100 miles added on every year.

I'm currently daily driving a 2018 Honda Civic Sport right now. I have been helping put a project 03 Evo 8 back together and this will be my daily once we get through the salt this winter. I'll most likely sell the Civic at that point.

I'm thinking about getting a base 2.7l F150 to drive. People rear end me in my Accord.

What the hell people - get off the phone!

The Miata engine is pretty bullet proof...though I agree the performance can be lacking.
I was into Hondas before the a Evo. The B18C5 in my ITR and the B16 in my hatch are still two of my all-time favorite motors (though I recognize the k20 is better..just looks funny in older endings bays).
