Mirage is fast?! I saw a white Mirage w/kit & silver Celica GTS tonite, they were having a race I believe because they drove so fast (110m/ph). I was behind & trying to follow them from bklyn to queens (they took less than 8-9 mins to race from bklyn to queens on BQE-LIE), the mirage was really fast & it beat the GTS. I really have a hard time to follow them. I wonder what is in the mirage under the hood.

 

Mirage's base engines are either a 1.8 SOHC 4G93 (113 or 115 hp) or a 1.5 SOHC 4G15 (92hp) engine. However, with enough $$$ and resources, they can be fast but not crazy fast

skylancer....you should come out to Francis Lewis Blvd. in queens if u wanna do some drags. Or take the Grand Central for highway racing =P

 

Well i can say the mirage wasnt stock if it went with a celica like that. And mirages can be fast you just need work.

The celica should have won, unless the mirage did a motor swap or major change in the internals.

I raced a modded mirage which prob placed his car near mine (115bhp + mods maybe he was pushing close to civic's 127hp

I think the mirage is lighter (unsure about those cars not interested ) but since I was the better driver (6 years of street race experience ) the race from the beginning was a done deal.

 

I haven't seen one fast one yet in my area... I also haven't seen a quick Celica yet...

Although I've seen fast Acuras. I saw this one Firebird trying to keep up with a Integ GSR on the freakin freeway. I was like oh dayam that V-8 gass guzzling POS is getting owned by a little 4-banger!
